The controversial Friday the 13: The Game is getting a physical copy (appropriate) release date of October 13, 2017 from Gun Media. The game has seen mixed reviews since its digital release back in May of 2017. Most everyone loves the ability to play as multiple incarnations of various incarnations of Jason Voorhees, 1980’s victims, and many death scenes. On the other hand, there has been some complaints about lack of single-player mode. I havn’t had a chance to play this as of yet but looking forward to getting my hands on this physical copy just for the kills alone!
The physical copy will come included with its own nifty special features. These features are an exclusive free bloody Jason skin for all playable Jasons and a free pack of clothing for each of the playable camp counselors. Will these new features tempt players who already own the game to buy a physical copy as well? Time will tell. One thing is for sure, with the popularity of this game, I hope this will spark more 1980’s slasher video games to be released in the near future!
