Okay, so I’m not sure if you watched the first The Moonlight Man short film, but if not, you can watch here. Mind you, watch the predecessor before the sequel. Not because you need to in order to follow a storyline, but to just be able to compare the two.
Okay, did you watch the first installment? If so, by all means, continue reading. The Moonlight Man 2 seems to follow a familiar storyline. The storyline for both short films involves cars, or more specifc, the trunks of cars. What is the monster’s obsession with parking garages and trunks? Did he lock his keys in the trunk of a car in his past life; before he turned into a demon? In any event, this short does well with the tension, which is helped with the great sound design and fantastic creature design. I will not post clear screengrab of the creature design because I don’t want to spoil it for you but it’s worth checking out.
This series of short films has a lot of potential if given more time. I would love to see the creature do more than stand around, for eexample. Let me know what you thought of it!
