Now with a name like that how are moviegoers not supposed to think of the classic movie by Russ Myers entitled “Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!”

However this indie horror also makes itself enticing to all fans of Megadeath as the lead vocalist Dave Mustaine lends his voice to the cryptic psychotic who has more then a sweet tooth for gory deaths.

It’s not hard to tell the format of the plot was transpired after watching the Saw franchise flourish and, on top of that the filmakers also managed to secure themselves a bonafide Oscar winning actress with the cameo of Margaret O’Brien who came to fame as a child actress and whose work resume consists of movies like Meet Me In St. Louis. We also get an older but, still good looking Richard Grieco. Any 21 Jump Street or, Booker fans reading this review?

With so much promising positive energy pushing the movie forward it was sad to see it not reach its full potential.

Although the promotion states it’s an all female rock group trying to survive this Halloween night, that in itself was totally inaccurate as there are 2 men within the entourage that also befall the same fates. There is no sexual discrimination in this film even if you will only witness female nudity the blood falls without favoritism.

We start the plot on Halloween in 2004 amid enemy terrority and witness US military being decapitated and, mutilated. With one man getting carted off we bear his voice promising vengeance.

We then meet our victims after finishing a gig and, loading up to hit the road. Not before seeing a lesbian kiss and, a ploy from one male band member to hook up with another who just wants to keep it a one time thing. A man appears in a wheelchair to help rescue her and, an altercation ensues. It leads the best looking guy to leave as the rest set out to their next gig without him.

It’s not long before they need gas at a secluded station with noone in sight, That is until there friend goes to the bathroom and never comes back. Doesn’t take long before we meet Dale ( Grieco ) who claims to have passed out in his truck. From here it turns into an homage to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre as after their truck runs into problems Dale offers them a lift to a random cottage type place decorated for trick or treaters. Only problem is there’s more tricks then treats.

Now your gonna play the game of whose gonna make it out alive by having to kill one of your friends before, moving on into other rooms with deceptive devices??

There are tacky, cheap camera tricks and, some of these actors aren’t too believable but, what I found most dissapointing was a good reasoning behind it all. Sure they give you one but, it’s not valid enough beyond being downright insane. Soldiers fighting for our freedom can easily take offense with how they are made to seem so callous after the tortures they may occur in battle but, it’s clear after meeting his family. It’s just a horror that fell short of its conclusion.
