Jonathan Straitondirector and writer of Night of something Strangeis back again to bring us something unique, Johnny Z. Johnny Z is an action/horror flick that will attempt something that at least I have never seen before. According to the director himself:

Johnny Z is a horror-action feature film about a half human, half zombie named Johnny who, under the guidance of a martial arts master seeks vengeance on the evil corporation that created him. It’s Land of the Dead meets The Raid.” –Straiton.

I don’t know about you but this sounds freakin’ amazing! After the success of Night of Something Strange, Straiton has teamed up with Black Mandala (Inbred, What the Waters Left Behind) to produce this zombie action flick. They have already put in 15k of their own funds into the crowdfunding but they want you to be a part of the process as well and are crowdfunding the other 15k. The films Indiegogo page has already raised 57% of their goal by 95 backers, as of writing this post. The perks are pretty sweet too! Everything from prop weapons used in the film, being an actual zombie in the film, and taking a credit as executive producer are just a few of the exciting perks offered.

The makeup effects by Marcus Koch (We Are Still Here, Sinners and Saints) are expected to be top notch as well as the vicious fight choreography courtesy of Dylan Hintz (Black Mass, Purge: Election Year). Check out the Indiegogo page here and the crowd fund promo video below to get more info and let me know what you think! Remember to support indie horror!
