The Fanglys- A weird twisted tale

First and foremost I would like to give a little shout out to my brother Jonathan because he reminded me of this film and gave me the idea. Now to begin. The Fanglys is a weird twisted tale about a group of kids who go in search for a legend called the Fang Lady on Halloween. They end up finding more than they bargained for and end up in a whole clusterf*** of events. The movie in itself is pretty decent and the acting is …kind of bad as most unknown films tend to be. But to be honest I loved it for that exact reason. I appreciated the effort because you can tell they tried.

The movie itself is quite unknown and that is unfortunate because it has a interesting storyline which in all actuality reminds me alot of House of a 1000 Corpses. A little different but with same premise. Kids go searching for a local legend and end up at a old house with messed up people. So honestly they seem quite alike except zombies has a higher budget. Written and Directed by Christopher Abram I have to give him credit for writing a decent scary story even though the effects weren’t great I found myself enjoying it. I watched it again last night for the first time in ages and I began to remember why I love movies that are so bad. Its the effort and the passion that goes into making movies and it seems ones with mediocre effects show that the most. They didn’t use a computer to make brains explode they used buckets of gore and string. That is effort . I appreciate the uniqueness aspect of the film and to be honest I think a major part of my love for it is nostalgia. It reminds me of long ago and how much i loved watching terrible movies on cold days when it was to hard to go out. The Fanglys is a go to movie that I will probably watch again tonight and tomorrow night. Its amusing and corny but I love it.
